A message from our Managing Director
Advance Computer Centre has supplied and supported IT for London businesses for over [TBC — number] years. The way we do that has a footprint: in the energy we use, in the hardware we sell and eventually take back, and in the choices we make about who we buy from and how we treat the people who work here.
This statement sets out where we are, honestly, including the places our data is still incomplete. It is our first formal report of this kind. We are publishing it rather than keeping it internal because we think accountability only works in public, and because our customers and partners increasingly — and rightly — ask us to show our work.

About this statement
This statement has been prepared with reference to the GRI Standards and, where relevant to our sector, the SASB standard for Multiline and Specialty Retailers & Distributors. Greenhouse gas figures are calculated using the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and UK Government (DESNZ) conversion factors for the reporting year.
Where data is not yet available we have said so rather than estimating. Establishing a complete baseline is our first priority for the coming year.

What matters most
As a London-based IT reseller and managed service provider, our most significant sustainability impacts are not in our own offices — they sit in the products we sell and the supply chain behind them. We have prioritised accordingly:
- The lifecycle of the hardware we sell — manufacturing footprint, energy in use, and what happens at end of life
- Electronic waste and equipment take-back — keeping devices in use longer and out of landfill
- Our own energy and travel emissions — the part we control directly
- Supply chain labour and environmental standards — who we buy from, and on what terms
- Our people — fair pay, development, and a safe workplace

Supply chain
The majority of our environmental impact is embedded in the products we distribute. We work primarily with manufacturers who maintain published sustainability commitments and third-party verified targets — including HP, whose Amplify Impact programme we participate in.
Our commitments for the coming year:
- Formalise ESG screening as part of supplier onboarding
- Record the proportion of our purchasing spend that sits with suppliers holding a recognised sustainability accreditation
- Extend our Modern Slavery due diligence into second-tier suppliers where we have visibility

UN Sustainable Development Goals
We have mapped our activity against four of the UN SDGs where we can make a real contribution rather than a nominal one:
- SDG 8 — Decent Work and Economic Growth: fair pay, secure employment and skills development for our team
- SDG 12 — Responsible Consumption and Production: equipment take-back, refurbishment and responsible WEEE disposal
- SDG 13 — Climate Action: measuring and reducing our operational emissions
- SDG 17 — Partnerships for the Goals: working with manufacturers and customers on shared sustainability outcomes

This is our first sustainability statement, so there is no prior-year comparison. From next year onwards this section will report performance against each target above.
